BMR is the Basal Metabolic Rate. This refers to the number of calories (or units of energy) needed to be consumed
(eaten) daily to enable a person's body to function efficiently when in a complete state of rest. Energy is required to enable all parts of the human body, such as heart, lungs, brain, digestive system etc., to function in a manner that keeps the person alive.
BMI is the Body Mass Index. This is a health index that compares a person's weight with age and height. It indicates those people whose weight is normal; those who are over-weight; and those who are obese - grossly over-weight that poses a serious danger a person's future health.
Minimum Calorie Requirement. This is the least number of calories required in a person's diet to maintain life and to keep the bodily functions working.
Body Fat. The amount of fat in the body expressed as a % of the body's total weight.
Your Weight is Normal. A summary of the figures for the Body Mass Index calculation, indicating Normal, Over Weight, or Obese.
